Code Enforcement is conducted by America's Code Enforcement, a branch of the same company that handles the city's Animal Control.
America's Code Enforcement will conduct periodic inspections and communicate any violations of ordinance with the property owners. Initially, America's Code Enforcement will focus on some priority target areas, specifically:
- Junk Vehicles
- Trash & Debris
- Grass and Weeds
- Derelict Structure
- Large Appliance
Property owners cited for violations of ordinance will be notified and given a reasonable opportunity to correct the violation before incurring fees or penalties. Any cases not addressed will be handled through the Leonard Municipal Court. Additional citations may be issued and fees increased for subsequent offenses.
Code violations can be reported to City Hall at 903-587-3334, and can be reported directly to Code Enforcement at 972-382-3647 extension 3 or https://dfwanimalservices.com/
