The City of Leonard is accepting applications for two (2) police patrol officer positions.

 

The Leonard Police Department is a small but active community-oriented Department in a town that offers a competitive pay and benefits package, including health, disability and dental.

Minimum Job Requirements

  1. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution, 21 years of age, US citizen
  2. Must meet or exceed all TCOLE requirements
  3. Be licensed by TCOLE at the time of application. 
  4. Two (2) years of full-time police experience preferred. 
  5. Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license with favorable driving history. 
  6. Must be able to pass background investigation, drug screening and be physically fit to perform assigned duties.
  7. Pass a psychological evaluation, and complete the FTO program.
  8. Required to work flexible hours and accept on-call duty and call out status.
